The drama centers on Bode Donovan, a young convict with a troubled past, played by Max Thieriot. To reduce his prison sentence and seek redemption, he joins the California Conservation Camp Program, where inmates help Cal Fire. Bode is sent to his hometown, where he must work alongside old friends, fellow inmates, and elite firefighters.
