This week, the Netflix global Top 10 is still dominated by “Testament: The story of Moses.” However, “Between Lands” (“Entre Tierras”) is a new Spanish drama that with only two days on the platform has already reached the tenth spot of the most watched series list globally.

The romantic drama is set in 1960s Spain. It consists of 10 episodes, each about 50 minutes long. In Spain, the series originally aired on Antena 3 from January to March 14. However, now fans all over the world can also fall in love with this drama.

The series follows María (played by Megan Montaner), a determined woman striving to protect her sister and rescue her family from financial ruin. In order to do so, she agrees to marry a rich landowner with a shady past, despite being in love with José (Carlos Serrano).

Unaware that her wedding to Ramón (Juanjo Puigcorbé) is a stand-in for marriage to his nephew, Manuel (Unax Ugalde), María finds herself entangled in a web of deceit spun by the cunning landowner. In the rustic landscape of La Mancha, her life will change forever due to the tension between her and her new family, as well as the locals.

Megan Montaner (known for “Sin Identidad”) portrays María, who is described as responsible, protective, and brave. The series features Juanjo Puigcorbé (from “Amar es para siempre”) as Ramón, an ambitious, chauvinistic, and ruthless landowner, and Unax Ugalde (known for “Vivir sin permiso”) as his nephew Manuel.
