Fan-favorite actors Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest will team up for the new upcoming adaptation of “My Oxford Year” for Netflix. This will be the first time for these two in-demand actors working together, however, it isn’t their first time with the streamer.
This will mark Carson’s fourth project with Netflix in a row. After starring and producing the romance “Purple Hearts,” she will appear in the upcoming thriller “Carry-On,” as well as the upcoming rom-com “The Life List” from writer-director Adam Brooks.
Meanwhile, Mylchreest is best known for playing King George in Bridgerton’s spin-off “Queen Charlotte,” as well as for appearing in “The Sandman” series. Here’s what you need to know about their upcoming film, “My Oxford Year.”
Who is behind ‘My Oxford Year’?
The film was written by Allison Burnett (Autumn in New York) based on a novel by Julia Whelan. Meanwhile, the film will be directed by BAFTA winner Iain Morris, known for projects such as “The Inbetweeners.”
What is ‘My Oxford Year’ About?
Per Netflix’s original logline, the movie will follow Anna, an ambitious young American woman, who heads to the UK to attend the University of Oxford and fulfill her lifelong dream. While her life seems perfectly planned, she encounters a charming and intelligent local who changes the course of both their lives.
