A24 has released the teaser trailer for The Drama, the new film from Norwegian director Kristoffer Borgli (Dream Scenario), starring global superstars Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.

This film marks the first of three collaborations between Zendaya and Robert Pattinson set for 2026 (the others being Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three). Zendaya brings her Emmy-winning dramatic intensity, while Pattinson continues his run of playing complex, volatile characters.

Plot
The film centers on an engaged couple, Emma Harwood (Zendaya) and Charlie Thompson (Robert Pattinson), whose seemingly happy relationship is violently disrupted just days before their wedding. A24’s Marketing Genius: Fake Engagement Ad
The promotional campaign for Kristoffer Borgli’s The Drama officially went viral after studio A24 executed a masterful publicity stunt in The Boston Globe. On December 8, 2025, A24 requested that the newspaper’s Living/Arts team hold their regular TV Critic’s Corner column so that a specific advertisement could be placed next to the highly popular relationship advice column, “Love Letters.” The result, published the following day, was a mock engagement announcement featuring a photo of Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, but named after their characters, Emma Harwood and Charlie Thompson.
