The official synopsis describes “Rickey, an energetic and free-spirited young man who convinces Glenn, his settled-in-life old friend, to embark on an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento”.
Kristen Stewart and Michael Cera are not the only stars of the movie; they will share the spotlight with Michael Angarano and Maya Erskine. The super talented cast also includes figures like A.J. Mendez and Rosalind Chao.
Angarano himself, who will bring Rickey to life and also direct the comedy, will carry out the project based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Chris Smith, after both authors experienced a work rejection.
“We feel grateful and excited to be able to make a film like ‘Sacramento’. Chris Smith and I started writing this script years ago after our pilot episode wasn’t chosen”, he confessed to Deadline.
