After a few years of waiting, it has finally been confirmed that MaXXXine will bring the conclusion of this iconic horror trilogy to the big screen, once again starring Mia Goth (Infinity Pool, Marrowbone and A Cure for Wellness).

The story is set in 1990s Hollywood and follows Maxine Minx, who finally gets her big break. However, a mysterious killer stalks the stars, and blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.

As with each installment directed by Ti West (Pearl and X), the soundtrack has taken an important part of the project, as it includes a combination of atmospheric music and more intense, emotional themes.

As has already been officially announced, the soundtrack of MaXXXine will be digitally released on August 23 under the A24 Music label, so the complete catalog of songs present in the latest installment is not yet available.

However, being set in the 1980s, many fans believe that there are certain songs that will definitely come out, such as “Addicted to Love” by Robert Palmer, “Bloodfeast” by The Misfits and “Somebody’s Watching Me” by Rockwell.

Who composed the soundtrack for MaXXXine?

As it was done in all previous installments of the franchise, the movie‘s soundtrack was composed by Tyler Bates, who has previously collaborated with director Ti West, as in other projects like The Sacrament.

The American music producer and composer is known for his work in dramas such as Guardians of the Galaxy, John Wick and Deadpool 2. He has been actively working since 1993, thus already having many years of career experience.

The star has brought their characteristic style to MaXXXine, which includes a blend of atmospheric music and more intense and emotional themes, suitable for the tone of a slasher film set in Hollywood.
