With a new year, comes a new awards season. As always, film, TV and music fans follow closely all the circuit of recognitions in the industry, from every guild to the Oscars. This year, there are several movies, directors, actors and musicians that are poised to be the sensation of the upcoming months.
While great movies and TV shows came out in 2023, the year was also marked by the writers and actors’ strikes, which paralyzed the industry for almost five months. That’s why the 2023 Emmys will now be celebrated in January.
On the other hand, from all the races this year, the acting categories are one of the most interesting to follow, especially in film. While there are always favorites (such as Cillian Murphy or Lily Gladstone), there is always room for surprises. Check out the full calendar.
When are the Golden Globes 2024?
The 81st Golden Globes ceremony will take place on January 7th, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. It will air on CBS. These awards celebrate the best in film and TV. This year, Barbie and Succession both tied for the most nominations with nine each.
When are the Emmys 2023?
As we said early, last year’s Emmys will take place on January 15th, after being rescheduled from Sept. 2023. Succession was the most nominated show with 27 nods, including 14 acting nominations to tie its own record from the previous year.
When will the Oscars nominations be announced?
The Oscars nominations will be announced on January 23. However, members of the Academy will have time to vote until the week of February 22-27. Favorite titles to be contenders in the biggest categories include Oppenheimer, Barbie, Killers of The Flowers Moon, Past Lives and more.
When is the Oscars 2024 ceremony?
The 96th Oscars ceremony will be held on March 10, at the the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Jimmy Kimmel will host the show for the fourth time, after doing so in 2017, 2018 and 2023.
Grammys 2024: When will the ceremony take place?
Meanwhile, when it comes to music, the Grammy Awards will take place on February 4 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Trevor Noah will host for the fourth time. This year, SZA is the artist most nominated with nine nods.
