After several years and adaptations, “Salem’s Lot” is back on screen with a new film directed by Gary Dauberman, this time available in the Max catalog, just in time to join master of horror Stephen King‘s titles.

The story follows Ben Mears as he returns to his hometown, Jerusalem’s Lot. Upon his arrival, he discovers that the community is being besieged by vampires who threaten to turn the residents into night creatures.

The cast is led by Lewis Pullman, known for films like Top Gun: Maverick, and the production features the involvement of James Wan, famous for his contributions to the horror genre with films like The Conjuring and Saw.

Will Salem’s Lot have a sequel in Max?

Currently, there are no confirmed plans for a sequel to Salem’s Lot on Max. The movie, which is one of the highly anticipated adaptations of Stephen King’s novel, has received mixed reviews since its release.

Many critics have noted that it attempts to present the story to a new generation, but they feel it lacks the emotional depth of the original material and doesn’t quite measure up to the author’s previous projects.
