Although details of the official plot are still under wraps, audiences can likely expect another adventure film featuring the protagonist couple, Frank and Lily. The story is set in the farming lands of the Salinas Valley in California and follows successive generations of two families, the Trasks and the Hamiltons, who are destined to recreate the fateful story of Cain and Abel.

The film project is an adaptation of the popular novel of the same name written by Nobel Prize-winning novelist John Steinbeck and published in September 1952, which has been regarded as a classic of the genre.
