Zendaya secured another Lead Actress nomination while the HBO drama also earned a Guest Actor nod for Colman Domingo and five craft nominations. Sydney Sweeney, however, was once again absent from the Supporting Actress lineup, ending the series’ entire run without ever receiving an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Cassie Howard.

Sweeney’s performance as Cassie became one of the defining elements of “Euphoria” across all three seasons. Introduced as a teenager searching for love and acceptance, the character experienced increasingly turbulent personal struggles. By the final installment, the story followed Cassie years later as she attempted to build financial independence through social media while navigating marriage, public attention, and a gradual reconciliation with her former best friend, Maddy.

The role demanded significant emotional range throughout the series, particularly in its later chapters. Season 3 presented Cassie as a character balancing the pursuit of online fame with the lingering consequences of her past decisions, allowing Sweeney to portray a woman trying to redefine herself while remaining emotionally guarded. Despite the prominence of the role, the Television Academy never recognized the performance in the Supporting Actress category.
While Sweeney missed out, “Euphoria” still earned recognition in several categories. Zendaya became the youngest performer ever to receive three nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series after previously winning twice for the role of Rue Bennett. Colman Domingo also returned to the Emmy lineup for his guest performance as Ali, while the show collected five additional nominations in Production Design, Cinematography, Editing, Hairstyling, and Makeup.
