Katherine LaNasa’s next move after her awards-winning turn in “The Pitt” is coming into focus. According to an exclusive by Deadline, the actor has signed on to Hulu’s upcoming drama “Count My Lies,” a new project that pairs her with a high-profile ensemble led by Shailene Woodley.

A New Role in the Twisty Hulu Thriller

LaNasa joins a cast that includes Woodley, Lindsay Lohan, and Kit Harington in a story built around deception and carefully constructed identities. She will play Tracy, the mother of Woodley’s character, Sloane Caraway, a compulsive liar whose small fabrications open the door to a far more dangerous world.

The series centers on Sloane’s calculated entry into the life of an affluent couple, Violet and Jay Lockhart, after a chance encounter leads to a nanny job. What initially appears to be an ideal situation gradually reveals itself as something far more unstable, with hidden motives and escalating consequences. The narrative leans into psychological suspense, tracking how overlapping lies begin to collapse under their own weight.

The adaptation is based on the debut novel by Sophie Stava, with Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger serving as writers and showrunners, both known for their work on “This Is Us.” Woodley and Lohan are also attached as executive producers.

For LaNasa, the role follows a period of renewed visibility driven by her portrayal of Dana Evans in “The Pitt,” where she plays the commanding charge nurse at a high-pressure trauma center. The performance earned her major industry recognition and positioned her as one of the standout supporting players on television. Her character’s mix of authority, mentorship, and emotional resilience became central to the show’s ensemble dynamic, particularly as later episodes explored the personal toll of frontline medical work.

Clara is about to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Writing Arts at the National University of Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In her role as a writer for Spoiler US, she covers movies, TV shows, streaming platforms, celebrities, and other topics of entertainment and general interest. Since 2021, she has been working as a film critic for Bendito Spoiler, Cinema Saturno, and Peliplat, attending festivals, conducting interviews, and regularly participating in cinematic debate podcasts. Her main focus of work is in the horror genre.
