Tom Holland and Zendaya are one of the most beloved Hollywood couples, but, after the “Euphoria” star unfollowed the Spider-Man actor in a social media cleanse, rumors about a possible breakup started to circling around. However, Holland has put them to rest, according to a video from TMZ.
The outlet obtained video of the actor out on a walk with a friend on Jan. 12th in West Hollywood, California. When asked if he and Zendaya have broken up, Holland responded emphatically: “No, no, no. Absolutely not.”
Holland and Zendaya, both 27, confirmed their relationship in November 2021, after years of rumors of dating. The pair met when they worked together in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017), and they starred together in the other two films of the trilogy “Far From Home” (2019) and “No Way Home” (2021).
Which projects will the stars appear next?
Zendaya hasn’t clarified the reason she unfollowed everyone on Instagram. The actress made the move just days after posting about her upcoming movie “Challengers,” directed by Lucas Guadagnino, which will premiere on April 26th. In it, she stars alongside Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist.
The Emmy winner will also appear in “Dune: Part 2”, out on March 1st, alongside Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler and more stars. Both films were delayed as a consequence of the SAG-AFTRA strike, which forced the studios to accept better deals for the actors.
Meanwhile, Holland took a brief acting break after starring in the Apple TV+ series “The Crowded Room,” released last year. But that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have any projects lined up, as he is set to star in an upcoming Fred Astaire’s biopic, being helmed by Paul King (Wonka, Paddington).
Back in November 2023, the actor revealed that the film is “being developed,” and “whether it happens or not is another thing, but we are working towards it as if it is happening.” He said that he hoped they could tell the “story in the way it needs to be told. I’d love to put my tap shoes on again and to portray that character, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
