However, despite all the rumors of a possible romance, many believe they are spending so much time together because of a joint project they have: a romantic comedy, which could be an adaptation of a novel written by Emily Henry.

The theory about a collaboration between the stars arose after the writer posted a photo of the actors on her stories. TMZ and People claimed it could be the movie adaptation of Book Lovers.

The actor who will lead the sequel to Gladiator confessed in an interview, during November 2023, that he was interested in making a rom-com with Ayo, so his plans would be coming true if the theories are correct.

“That’s one of those things I leave in the cinema and I’m incredibly jealous and excited about the talent of everyone involved in that movie. But I think in the next five years I’m going to set myself the challenge of maybe making a romantic comedy with Ayo, or something like that would be great“, he confessed to Awards Watch.
