July 27, 2024, was an exciting day for Marvel fans! Amid the peak of speculation about the future of the “Avengers” film franchise, Robert Downey Jr. made a surprise appearance at San Diego Comic-Con to announce that he will be the next villain of the superhero group, portraying Doctor Doom.
While this news broke the internet, it wasn’t the only highlight of the night. The casts of “Captain America: Brave New World,” “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” and “Thunderbolts” were also present to discuss their respective upcoming films.
The last ensemble drew special attention, particularly due to the flirty vibes reported between co-stars Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan by social media users.
Are Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan in a relationship?
While it’s true that Florence Pugh and Sebastian Stan have displayed exceptional chemistry at every promotional event for “Thunderbolts,” the stars have not confirmed a relationship, nor have they been seen in public in a manner suggesting they are dating.

However, a moment during the Marvel panel where Stan praised Florence as the standout of the film left fans shipping them hard, wondering if there could be something more in the future.
As for Florence Pugh, she reportedly broke up with her last partner, photographer Charlie Gooch, in October 2023 after a year of dating. Shortly after, she was romantically linked to Paul Mescal, but it appears to have been just gossip. Therefore, we can confidently say she is single.
Sebastian Stan’s situation is different. Since being seen kissing with Annabelle Wallis at Robert Pattinson’s 36th birthday party in May 2022, he and his partner have grown more serious and now accompany each other to important events.
He was by her side at the Cannes screening of “The Apprentice,” where he plays young Donald Trump, and they were seen together in Rome less than a month ago. So, it looks like our Pugh and Stan ship will remain just a fantasy!
