Palm Royale is the Apple TV+’s most-watched series

Palm Royal debuted on streaming on March 19, just two days ago, and has quickly become the most-watched series in the Apple TV+ catalog in the United States, thanks to American users who have hit play.

According to the specialized site Flix Patrol, the title has not only reached the top of the Top 10 in record time but has also surpassed other big original productions like “Masters of the Air” and “Constellation”.

Kristen Wiig stars in the story in the role of Maxine Simmons and is joined by a long list of top-tier stars. Among the most prominent are Josh Lucas, Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, Kaia Gerber, Julia Duffy, Carol Burnett and Mindy Cohn.

The plot is set in 1969 and follows an ambitious woman who aims to cross the line that separates the haves from the have-nots to secure a place at the most exclusive, fashionable, and treacherous table in the United States: the high society of Palm Beach.

The narrative is based on the novel “Mr. & Mrs. American Pie“, written by Juliet McDaniel. The show had multiple screenwriters who adapted the story, such as Logan Faust, Sheri Holman and the creator himself, Abe Sylvia.

The TV show adds to the long list of successful comedies from the streaming giant, and the ambitious journey in which Maxine Simmons struggles to integrate into high society has become a trend, both in the US and globally.

The series has everything, but there’s something that has caught the viewers’ attention above all else, and that is the fact that the fiction raises a question that remains relevant today: How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to have what others have?
