Director Lee Isaac Chung is once again in the spotlight after directing “Twisters,” the sequel to the iconic 1996 tornado movie. Starring Glen Powell, it has quickly become a trend, earning praise from fans of the original film.
Though Chung’s career includes only eleven credits, he has consistently garnered acclaim from critics and the public. He directed the Oscar-nominated “Minari” in 2020 and took on one episode of “The Mandalorian,” specifically the third episode of the third season, “The Convert.”
Now, Chung has revealed that he will return to the “Star Wars” universe in one of the most anticipated projects of the franchise created by George Lucas. Here’s what he had to say.

Lee Isaac Chung has confirmed that the project bringing him back to the world of Jedi and Sith is the highly anticipated “Skeleton Crew”! In an interview with Inverse, he revealed that he directed one of the episodes and thoroughly enjoyed the experience:

“I only directed one of the episodes, but I fell in love with those kids. They’re great actors and human beings. And I worked with Jude Law a lot in my episode, and all of them got along together so well. I can’t wait for people to see these actors. They’re really great.”
Chung joins a distinguished group of directors for the series, including Jon Watts, Daniel Kwan, David Lowery, Daniel Scheinert, and Jake Schreier. Notable works from these directors include “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “The Green Knight,” and “Paper Towns.”
