The film came out in March 2023, and grossed $440.1 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film in the franchise, as well as the ninth-highest-grossing film of the year domestically in the US. It was also praised for its cinematography, stunts, visual effects, and Reeve’s performance.
Starring Keanu Reeves as the titular character, the film follows the iconic hit man as he embarks on a journey to seek vengeance against the High Table and those who abandoned him to die.

According to Comicbook.com, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake said in May 2023 that a fifth film is in early development. McShane also told Variety that the team has “been having a few scenarios” about a fifth film.
Currently, the John Wick franchise is making a comeback to theaters with the Ana de Armas-led spinoff, Ballerina, scheduled for June 7. The film will see the reprisals of Reeves, McShane, Anjelica Huston, and Lance Reddick.
