Prime Video has once again refreshed its Top 10 in the United States, where a film with Anne Hathaway in the style of crime, heist and action has become the eighth most-watched, according to the specialized site Flix Patrol.
The actress from “The Devil Wears Prada” has been in multiple popular productions in the thriller genre, but not quite like this one, as it blends comedy with suspense and unexpected twists that will leave you in awe.
Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect, Jojo Rabbit and Senior Year) accompanies the star in the drama directed by Chris Addison (Veep and In the Loop), which first premiered in 2019 and has a runtime of over 1.5 hours.
The Hustle ranked No. 8 movie on Prime Video US
“The Hustle” is a comedic action thriller that has returned to trend on Prime Video after several years since its major release and has not only been among the most chosen by American users but also holds the Top 8 spot.
Flix Patrol, the specialized site in metrics and platforms, reported that the movie also surpassed multiple well-known titles in the catalog, such as “Top Gun: Maverick” with Tom Cruise and “The Notebook” with Ryan Gosling.
The new sensation on the platform is a modern version of the 1988 classic “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”, which itself was a remake of “Bedtime Story” from 1964. Both titles were quite popular in their respective eras.
It’s a light comedy with touches of absurd humor and comedic situations arising from the interactions between the characters played by Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, Josephine Chesterfield and Penny Rust.
The story follows Josephine and Penny, who meet and, after a competitive start, decide to join forces to scam a common target: a young and wealthy tech mogul (played by Alex Sharp).
