It’s official! “Maxton Hall” is beginning pre-production on its second season. The news was confirmed on the official Instagram account of Prime Video Germany a few hours ago, which has been reposting photos that both the cast and filming crew of the series have been taking to celebrate.

The series has become the top production on the platform this year, even surpassing “Fallout,” the show that was poised to be the jewel of 2024, in each country where the streaming service is available.

For those who are too impatient to wait for the release of the second season to find out how the story continues, you should know that “Maxton Hall” is based on the “Save Me” trilogy by Mona Kasten, which is available for purchase both online and in physical stores. If you wan to avoid spoilers of the lore, entertain yourself by checking who will return for this upcoming installment.

Who will be the cast of ‘Maxton Hall’ Season 2?

Well, of course, the obvious thing: both Damian Hardung and Harriet Herbig-Matten will reprise their roles as James Beaufort and Ruby Bell in the second part of the story. Their on-screen chemistry has been so palpable that it even sparked rumors of them dating. We will see how it goes in the series (and maybe in real life too!).

Andrea Guo and Frederic Balonier, who portray Lin Wang and Kieran Rutherford in the show, have also posted an Instagram pic to celebrate its return. Sonja Weißer, who plays Damian Hardung’s sister in the series, also shared her enthusiasm on her profile.

The rest of the cast that confirmed their participation in the second season of “Maxton Hall” on Instagram includes Hyun Wanner (Percy), Justus Riesner (Alistair Ellington), Serena Posadino (Jessalyn), Cosima Leonie Wiesend (Camille), Ben Felipe (Cyril Vega), and Runa Greiner (Ember Bell). Even Clelia Sarto, who played Cordelia Beaufort, posted a pic about it, so we will probably see some interesting plot twists!

Martin Schreier, who directed three episodes of the first season, also shared a photo about the news, confirming that he will return to direct. Producer Valentin Debler did the same, so we can also assure that the second season will maintain the same production crew as the first one.

As soon as Prime Video releases any other news about the plot, episode guide, or release date of the second season of “Maxton Hall,” we will keep you updated. Till then, you can binge-watch our recommendation of the Top 10 series in the style of Mona Kasten’s creation.
