Who are the cast of Nineteen Steps?
Millie Bobby Brown will not only be one of the producers of Nineteen Steps, but she has also signed on with Netflix to star in the film. Her role has not yet been revealed, but it is possible that she will play the role of Nellie Morris.
So far, she is the only confirmed star, as the project is still in pre-production, which likely means the casting process is not yet complete. This means we’ll have to wait for more details.
What is Nineteen Steps about?
According to Deadline, the story follows Nellie Morris, an 18-year-old living in the Bethnal Green neighborhood in East London. Action, romance, drama and historical moments are all present in this narrative.
The protagonist herself must also face the challenges of life during wartime, including the threat of bombings, rationing, and the emotional turmoil of being separated from her loved ones.
All of this unfolds while she begins a new romance with the American aviator Ray. The outlet reported that at the historical core of the novel, written by the actress and Kathleen McGurl, is the Bethnal Green subway disaster.
Who is responsible for Nineteen Steps?
Of course, Millie Bobby Brown will produce under her own label, PCMA, but she won’t be the only one with experience behind the project—Anthony McCarten (The Theory of Everything) will be adapting the screenplay.
In addition to the four-time Oscar nominee, Jonathan Eirich will also be involved, producing through Rideback, with Nick Reynolds serving as executive producer for the company. The film’s director has not yet been confirmed.
