“One Tree Hill” has been one of the TV drama that has marked an entire generation, especially those from the 2000s, who grew up alongside the actors of this incredible coming-of-age production.
On August 30, it was confirmed that Netflix is preparing the return of some characters, as they are developing a sequel series led by Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton, who played Brooke Davis and Peyton Sawyer.
As a result, many fans have been wondering who else might return with them or even have a cameo, and one of the names circulating is Chad Michael Murray, who played Lucas Scott for six seasons.
Will Chad Michael Murray return as Lucas Scott?
Chad Michael Murray (Freaky Friday and A Cinderella Story) was not only the crush of many for quite some time thanks to “One Tree Hill”, but he also played one of the main characters for six whole seasons of the show.
This led many to believe he might make a grand return in Netflix‘s sequel series, especially since Lucas Scott ends up marrying Peyton. However, we couldn’t be more wrong, as everything indicates he will not be present.
Deadline reported that there have been informal conversations with several cast members, and the actor has no intention of returning to the role. This is in contrast to some of his co-stars, such as Danneel Ackles.
