It’s been three weeks since “Deadpool & Wolverine” hit theaters, but we still can’t get over it. The 34th installment in the MCU has already become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time, solidifying the Marvel franchise as the most successful in cinematic history.

This film serves as a love letter to Marvel fans, who have endured growing dissatisfaction with the studio’s commercial approach in recent years. It also marks the return of the beloved “X-Men” lore to the big screen, bringing back Wolverine and other interesting cameos. Although some initially criticized the decision to revive the character after his fitting farewell in “Logan,” we have certainly missed seeing Hugh Jackman wielding those iconic claws.

Since the picture’s release, the “Les Miserables” star has been the center of attention. While Hugh’s performance is being praised from every angle, people are particularly curious about how he managed to get into such incredible shape at 55, looking as if he’s in his twenties

Hugh Jackman shared his nutrition strategy for ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’

To promote “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have been traveling the world, participating in various interviews and talk shows. Two weeks ago, Hugh appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he discussed how he prepared to put the Wolverine suit again in 2024.

Naturally, Jimmy asked the question on everyone’s mind: How did Hugh manage to get his body in such impressive shape for the Marvel film? The star revealed his secret: He consumed a staggering 6,000 calories a day!

However, he clarified that those calories didn’t come from indulging in pizza and fried foods. While these might add up to 6,000 calories, they lack the nutrients needed for his transformation. Instead, Hugh’s diet consisted of chicken, tilapia, and beans for months.

He also shared that his strict diet lasted much longer than anticipated due to the strike that interrupted filming. Hugh had previously told director Shawn Levy that he wanted to film a specific scene showcasing his muscles at the end of the movie (yes, THAT scene). So, when the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike halted production, Hugh regretted his commitment to that scene, as it meant sticking to his rigorous, flavorless diet for nearly half a year. Still, he now says it has been worth it!
