A storm has quietly settled over the legacy of Sean Combs and now that storm lands on streaming. “Sean Combs: The Reckoning“, a four-part documentary produced by Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson and directed by Alexandria Stapleton, lifts the curtain on decades of power, glamour — and alleged darkness.
It promises never-before-seen footage from the final days preceding Diddy’s arrest, testimony from former associates and a sharp chronicle of betrayal and downfall: a portrait of an empire fractured by scandal and legal reckoning.
Where and How to Stream ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’
Starting December 2, the entire series becomes available to stream exclusively on Netflix, giving global audiences simultaneous access across devices. What unfolds is not just a retrospective on fame — it is a collision of myth and accountability, where the soundtrack of success might give way to echoes of consequences.

Directed by Alexandria Stapleton and executive produced by 50 Cent, the series traces Diddys’ meteoric rise through the music industry with the founding of Bad Boy Records — the label behind legendary artists — and follows the arc of his career as it becomes shadowed by a series of criminal accusations.
What makes this documentary stand out is its access to “never-before-seen” materials: archival footage and candid moments, some filmed just days before his arrest, as well as interviews with former associates, employees and artists who once orbited his world.
The first episode alone begins with intimate footage from a hotel room in September 2024 — less than a week before Combs was indicted — capturing him in real time as he grapples with mounting legal pressure.

As the series unfolds, the narrative shifts from the glamour of stardom to multiple allegations. The documentary does not shy away from confronting the darker aspects allegedly lurking behind his public persona, seeking to reconstruct a timeline not only of success but of questionable behavior.
However, the release of The Reckoning has not been without turmoil. Diddy has publicly condemned the series, labeling it a “shameful hit piece” and alleging that some of the footage was “stolen” or unauthorized for public release.
His representatives argue the material was never cleared for distribution and they’ve raised legal objections. Meanwhile, the filmmakers insist they obtained the footage legally, and that their intent is not sensationalism but accountability.
