Since 2011, The Voice has become one of the most popular singing reality TV competitions. Thanks to their unique blind audition format, where coaches select contestants based solely on their vocal talent, the show offers a refreshing approach to discovering new artists.

Another aspect of the show that is appreciated by fans is the fact that contestants got the opportunity to learn from their coaches, who have been some of the most iconic singers such as Blake Shelton, Usher, Shakira, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera, Nick Jonas and more.

While fans are familiar with the show’s format and all the ins-and-out of the competition, there are still many secrets, such as the winner’s rewards on The Voice or what are the living arrangements for The Voice participants. Here’s what we know about the latter question.

Accommodations for The Voice contestants: Where do they live?

As many fans expect, filming for The Voice is demanding. However, NBC takes care of the contestants while they’re participating in the show. According to ScreenRant, contestants of The Voice live in a hotel paid by the network, while they shoot the series in Los Angeles. However, once they’re eliminated, they have to leave fast.

In an article from 2021, Cosmopolitan spoke to several former contestants, and they shared their experiences on the show. According to Kat Perkings, who competed in season 6, the elimination process is “very abrupt,” as you are basically sent home in the next flight.

However, contestants have access to psychological care, especially after they’re eliminated. Again according to Perkins, contestants in the Top 12 were expected to have regular check-outs. “The minute you are eliminated, you walk from that stage and into the psychiatrist’s office for a debriefing. They make sure that you talk about it,” she explained to the outlet.

And, another good thing about the accommodations of the show is that, apparently, food is great. Jessie Poland , who competed under the name Charlotte Sometimes in season 2, said that “Once you’re on the show for a while, you got money [a stipend] to go out and catering was really great. I ate really well.”
