After many years of success with American Horror Story, producer and screenwriter Ryan Murphy is back on screen with a new series, Grotesquerie, which marks the acting debut of Travis Kelce.

The story follows a detective and a nun as they investigate a series of gruesome crimes that seem personal, while dealing with their own issues and uncovering a sinister network that raises more questions than answers.

Who does Travis Kelce play in Grotesquerie?

Travis Kelce is the breakout star of “Grotesquerie”, as it has been confirmed that he has a significant role in the new series, which will make its big debut on FX and Hulu on September 25, 2024.

His character’s name is not yet known, but he has given multiple hints about his work. In an episode of his podcast New Heights, he talked about his experience with the director and the cast, describing the show as “awesome and unique“.

He said: “There’s nothing Ryan Murphy can’t do. Everyone has been so helpful in making me feel comfortable and… giving me the direction and training I need to portray this role I’m in“.

The NFL star, who has won the heart of one of the most important pop stars in the world, also revealed that he feels “like a rookie“, but ended up joking, saying, “They haven’t fired me yet, so we’re good“.

Travis has been promoting the horror drama on several occasions and has had multiple interviews to talk about his new work, which could bring him great success. In one of these conversations, he confessed:

I was shocked he [Murphy] was willing to give me a role like this, because it’s a big role in the show. He seemed very confident I’d be able to do this. He kind of injected that in me the first conversation we had. Hopefully I don’t bomb this for him”.
