Marvel Studios has quietly reworked the official chronology of its cinematic universe, offering a clearer sense of how its newest stories interlock. The updated timeline not only reshuffles some recent entries but also confirms where “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2 sits within the broader MCU, placing it firmly among the franchise’s Phase Six developments.

Marvel’s Updated Timeline Clarifies Where ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Fits

The revised order places “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2 toward the later stretch of Phase Six, following “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” and arriving just before “Wonder Man.” That positioning underscores how Marvel is threading its street level narratives into the same continuity as its larger, more cosmic stories, rather than keeping them on the margins as earlier iterations once did.

Within the story itself, the second season continues Matt Murdock’s escalating conflict with Wilson Fisk, now operating as New York City’s mayor. With Fisk leveraging political power through his Anti Vigilante Task Force, the series leans into a citywide crackdown that forces Murdock to assemble allies and operate under increasingly hostile conditions. The events unfold roughly six months after the first season, aligning with other concurrent MCU developments.

The installment also reinforces its ties to Marvel’s earlier Netflix era, functioning as both a continuation and a recalibration. Charlie Cox returns as Murdock alongside Vincent D’Onofrio’s Fisk, with Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson also back in the fold, while Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones reenters the story as part of Murdock’s growing resistance.

Behind the scenes, the series reflects a significant creative overhaul. Originally conceived as an 18 episode debut, the project was restructured into two seasons, with Dario Scardapane stepping in as showrunner and Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead leading the directing team.

Now streaming on Disney+ with a weekly rollout through early May, the second part positions itself as a key piece of Phase Six. By anchoring its narrative between major franchise entries, Marvel’s updated timeline makes clear that “Daredevil: Born Again” is no longer a side story but a central thread in the evolving MCU.
