If there’s a show that has been prevalent in the TV landscape of the past two decades, that’s American Idol. One of the pioneer musical competitions in the US, and the series is still one of the most watched shows.

Now on its Season 22 overall, and seventh after the revival of ABC, the show will once again try to find the next “superstar” in America. Many new contestants will prove themselves in front of judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan, but only one of them will be the winner.

After the auditions, contestants will participate in the Hollywood Week, as well as other rounds culminating in the live shows, and you can see American Idol full schedule here. But, if you can’t watch the show on cable television, here’s how to stream it.

Is American Idol available to stream?

This will be Katy Perry’s last season as judge, after being seven seasons on the show and becoming one of highest-paid American Idol’s judges in history. Talking with Jimmy Kimmel, Perry revealed that she loved the show “so much” but she wanted to concentrate on her music next.

“I love ‘Idol’ so much, it’s connected me with the heart of America,” she told the host on Feb. 12th. “But I feel like I need to go out to feel that pulse of my own beat.” While there’s no official replacement for Perry so far, there are many speculations about who could replace her.

During the first shows on American Idol, viewers have met some of the new contestants of Season 22. Among those who had impressed the judges were 21-year-old Abi Carter, who sang a rendition of “What Was I Made For?” by Billie Eilish, and Odell Bunton Jr., who sang Sam Cooke’s “Bring It on Home to Me.” Both of them received Platinum Tickets.
