After 21 years since the successful release of Freaky Friday, it has been announced that the iconic Disney movie will have a sequel, with its two main stars, <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/lindsay-lohan">Lindsay Lohan</a> and Jamie Lee Curtis, returning.



Filming began in June, so images of the actresses in their respective roles have not yet been released. However, it has been confirmed that they will not be the only ones returning.



Nisha Ganatra is directing, while Jordan Weiss adapted the script based on characters created by Leslie Dixon, Heather Hach and Mary Rodgers. If all goes well, the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a> will be released in 2025.

One of the latest confirmed for the sequel is Chad Michael Murray (Riverdale, One Tree Hill and A Cinderella Story), who <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/will-chad-michael-murray-return-for-freaky-friday-2-his-answer-was-definitive">will return as Jake</a>, Anna’s crush, who in the first film ends up liking her mother, Tess.

Kelsey Mann, the director of the sequel, spoke with Comicbook in the weeks leading up to the release of the recent <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a> and revealed whether there are any possibilities for a third installment. 



He essentially said that there is more material, but nothing is confirmed. “I love this world. It’s a fantastic world to play in, and ideas just come up while playing, both for locations and characters”, he said. 



He then added “There are so many ideas not just from the first movie, but especially from this one, where I said, ‘That’s a really fun and smart idea. I don’t know how it fits into this particular story, but it should be used at some point&apos;”.



<h2>Which characters could appear in Inside Out 3?</h2>



Despite Inside Out 2 being the first step into Riley’s adolescence and introducing some new emotions that became beloved characters, there are several feelings that could still make an appearance.



In the event that a third movie is confirmed, Reason and Logic could appear. Kelsey Mann spoke with SensaCine and confessed that he would love to see these two characters in action.



“I think it would be fun to have Logic and Reason. There’s something we can work with there”, he said. Additionally, when he spoke with Comicbook, he also alluded to the plot of the potential new comedy.

The director of the sequel also talked about this and mentioned that one of his ideas is to explore some new scenarios within Riley’s mind, such as “the land of procrastination”. Then he added:



“This is definitely a land I had, especially when I was a teenager. It was a place with a big sign that said ‘Land of Procrastination’ and then said ‘Coming soon.’ And Anger said, ‘When are they going to start building that place?! They haven’t made any moves on it’.



It’s a really fun idea. We had trouble understanding why it didn’t fit into this particular story—I won’t tell you all about it, but there are other things that are really fun. I think, ‘This has to be used in some way in the future’“.

Back in 2015, “Inside Out” prompted us all to reflect on the primary emotions that guide us through life. Joy, sadness, anger, fear, and disgust demonstrated their equal necessity in leading a healthy existence.



But what happens during complex times of human growth, such as adolescence? It becomes even more intricate. In “Inside Out 2,” the original group of feelings must make room for newcomers: Anxiety, ennui, embarrassment, and envy.



Choosing just four emotions that we begin to feel as we grow up was certainly not an easy task. Director Kelsey Mann discussed which were left out of the second installment in a recent interview with Fotogramas.



<h2>All the emotions cut from ‘Inside Out 2’</h2>



According to Kelsey Mann, selecting new emotions for “Inside Out 2” was incredibly complex because adolescence is a time when you feel everything at once. Eventually, he had to make decisions about which to exclude.

He compiled a list of nine primary emotions, and sadly, guilt, frustration, surprise, and remorse were the ones left in the drawer. Of course, they may not stay there long if Pixar decides to make a third movie, though the director hasn’t confirmed this.



Mann also mentioned other emotions that didn’t make the top ten but were considered by the movie’s team: Hope, pride, schadenfreude (finding pleasure in others’ misfortune), greed, and irritation.



It seems Riley will navigate through a diverse array of feelings as she continues to matures. Nonetheless, we always hope to see the return of the original five main emotions, as we’ve grown quite fond of them over time.

“Just give that guy an Emmy already.” In an interview with Collider, “The Boys” creator Eric Kripke couldn’t contain his admiration for Antony Starr‘s portrayal of Homelander. And we completely agree.



Since the comic-based show premiered in 2019, Starr has become not only the flagship icon of the series but also the face of the satirical genre on television. Combining charisma with psychopathic tendencies, he has brought to life a character unlike any other.



The episode that has led Kripke to assert that Starr deserves to be awarded is the fourth of the current season, where Homelander confronts the torturous past that shaped him. Will this performance be enough to secure the Best Actor prize? Here, all the possibilities.



<h2>Could Antony Starr get an Emmy for his performance as Homelander?</h2>



Unfortunately, this won’t be a great <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/emmys">Emmy</a> year for Antony Starr, and it has nothing to do with his acting skills. The rules of the Emmys dictate a specific period of eligibility, and this year, “The Boys” won’t compete because its new season premiered after the eligibility window—between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.

Could he have won? Well, the competition would have been fierce. The front-runner this year appears to be “The Crown,” which has consistently been a favorite in past editions. It’s difficult to imagine Antony Starr surpassing such a strong contender, especially with Dominic West as his rival.



Additionally, he would have faced competition from Hiroyuki Sanada for his role in “Shogun.” Not only is the historical series impressive, but the Emmys might favor a showdown between the all-time favorite “The Crown” and the new Japanese series, making Starr’s chances even slimmer.



So, all things considered, Antony Starr can’t win an Emmy this year because “The Boys” missed the competition window. However, even if eligible, his path to victory would have been challenging due to the formidable frontrunners in his category. Perhaps next year will bring better prospects!

The rest of the cast also includes Kaitlyn Dever, Maxime Bouttier, Lucas Bravo and Billie Lourd.

<h2>‘Ticket to Paradise,’ a charming rom-com with Julia Roberts and George Clooney</h2>



The film, unlike the usual romantic comedies, is more about finding love in midlife. Or, well, recovering love? Making peace with the past, we could say. It follows divorced for two decades, L.A. gallerist Georgia (Roberts) and architect David (Clooney) who prefer to keep their interactions minimal, focusing only on the one good thing from their union: their daughter, Lily (Kaitlyn Dever).



Lily is a bright and sweet recent law school graduate who heads to Indonesia with her best friend (Billie Lourd) for a post-grad adventure. Just 37 days later, Lily falls in love, gets engaged to a local Balinese man (Maxime Bouttier), and is ready to abandon her career plans to become a seaweed farmer’s wife.

And, while Roberts and Clooney are delightful as ever, their chemistry isn’t enough to really save this film, which is mid at best. And critics seem to think the same, giving it only a 57% of 221 critics’ reviews are positive. However, if what you need is a light romantic comedy with stunning views and two charming megastars, this should do.

After landing in theaters on June 14, “Inside Out 2” is on its way to becoming the biggest film of 2024. The movie follows Riley, now as a teen, with new emotions entering the headquarters of her mind, including Envy, voiced by <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/ayo-edebiri">Ayo Edebiri</a>, and Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke.



Adèle Exarchopoulos (Ennui) and Paul Walter Hause (Embarrassment) also join the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a>. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Richard Kind, Lewis Black, Kaitlyn Dias, Diane Lane, and Kyle MacLachlan, all reprising their roles from the first film. Meanwhile, Tony Hale and Liza Lapira replace Bill Harder and Mindy Kaling in the roles of Anger and Disgust, respectively; with Kensington Tallman voicing Riley.



The movie has already surpassed the $330 million mark at the global box office. While it surely will stay in theaters for a while, if you’re waiting for its release on streaming, here’s what we know about when it could come out on <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/disney-plus">Disney+</a>.



<h2>‘Inside Out 2’ may take some time to land on Disney+</h2>



According to The Economic Times, Bloomberg reports that “Inside Out 2” will have a theatrical run of approximately 100 days. This means that the film would be available on Disney+ around September or early October.

This would be a departure from the usual schedule of the studio. However, it’s true that the film has already reported incredible numbers, much healthier than previous Pixar’s films from recent years. The film broke several records, such as becoming the econd biggest domestic animated opening of all-time at $154.2 million, as well as having the biggest opening for an animated movie worldwide at $295 million.



Both “Luca” (2021) and “Turning Red” (2022) were released in theaters and on streaming simultaneously. In the same vein, “Lightyear” (2022) was available on Disney+ only 47 days after its theatrical release due to its poor box office grossings. And, while “Elemental” (2023) stayed in theaters long enough to gross $496.4 million despite a disappointing opening, it landed on the platform 89 days after its theatrical release.

On the other hand, the first “Inside Out” was a total success, both commercially and critically. It grossed $858.8 million worldwide against a production budget of $175 million. It also won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, among other. And, with the sequel also collecting favorable reviews, it is expected to compete for big awards too.

Among the trending titles this week on <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a> there is the new weekly K-drama, “Miss Night and Day.” The series, which was released on June 15, has entered the global Top 10 in the ninth spot, according to FlixPatrol.



The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/series">series</a>, which airs on JTBC in South Korea, is directed by Lee Hyung Min, who is known for working on titles such as “Bad Boy” (2010) and “Strong Girl Bong-soon” (2017). Meanwhile, it was penned by Park Ji Ha, who has credits on “Good Casting” (2020) and “She’s Different from Day to Night” (2024).

Apart from Jung Eun Ji, the series stars Lee Jung Eun as the 50-year-old version of Lee Mi Jin. The actress is known for starring in several series on Netflix such as “Mr. Sunshine,” “Daily Dose of Sunshine,” “When the Camellia Blooms,” “My Hole Love,” “Hi Bye, Mama!,” “Law School,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” “Juvenile Justice,” and “Our Blues.”



Another well known name that fans will recognize is Choi Jin Hyuk, who in the series plays Gye Ji Woong. He is best known for starring in “Rugal,” as well as other popular names such as “Tunnel,” “Devilish Joy,” and “Fated to Love You.”



Yoong Byung Hee, Jung Suk Yong, Jung Young Joo, Baek Seo Hoo, and Kang Ji Woon complete the cast. This fantasy comedy will consist of 16 episodes, with two new episodes coming out on Saturdays and Sundays until the show’s finale on August 4th, 2024.

Fan-favorite actors Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest will team up for the new upcoming adaptation of “My Oxford Year” for <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix.</a> This will be the first time for these two in-demand actors working together, however, it isn’t their first time with the streamer.



This will mark Carson’s fourth project with Netflix in a row. After starring and producing the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/romance">romance</a> “Purple Hearts,” she will appear in the upcoming thriller “Carry-On,” as well as the upcoming rom-com “The Life List” from writer-director Adam Brooks.

Period dramas have delivered thrilling television over the years, especially with the new entries in the genre, which reimagined other times to create more appealing stories for today’s audiences. After the success of <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/bridgerton">‘Bridgerton,’</a> ‘The Gilded Age’ or ‘The Great,’ Prime Video is releasing a new show for fans of the genre: <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/prime-video/my-lady-jane-everything-to-know-about-prime-videos-new-romantic-period-drama">‘My Lady Jane.’</a>



The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/series">series</a>, which premieres on June 27, is based on the bestselling book by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand and Jodi Meadows. Starring Emily Bader, the series follows an alternate version of the story of Lady Jane Grey, who became queen of England for nine days before being executed for high treason.

<h2>What happened to the real Lady Jane Grey?</h2>



Known historically as the ‘Nine Days’ Queen, Lady Jane Grey was an English noblewoman who briefly claimed the throne of England and Ireland from July 10 to July 19, 1553. Her short-lived reign is one of the most tragic tales in royal history, culminating in her execution at just 17 years old.



She was known for being one of the most learned young women, and she was married to Lord Guildford Dudley, a younger son of Edward VI’s chief minister John Dudley, Duke of Northumberland.

As the great-niece of Henry VIII and the great-granddaughter of Henry VII, Jane was in the line of succession. Under the will of Henry VIII, she was behind her cousins, Mary I and Elizabeth I. However, in June 1553, her first cousing, the dying Edward VI, wrote his will, nominating her and her male heirs as first successors of the Crown. Part of the reason was that she was a Protestant, while Mary was Catholic.



Thus, Jane was proclaimed queen on July 10, 1553, following the death of Edward VI. However, Jane’s reign was quickly challenged by Mary I, the daughter of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. Mary I swiftly overthrew Jane, leading to Jane’s imprisonment in the Tower of London and her subsequent execution on Tower Green on February 12, 1554.



At her execution, Jane’s final moments were marked by panic as she groped for the block after being blindfolded, and her last words were a poignant prayer: “Lord, into thy hands I commend my spirit.”



<h2>A different ending in ‘My Lady Jane’: What Hand said about the book</h2>



In contrast to the grim reality, the series aims to reimagine and reframe Jane’s life in a more empowering and less tragic light. Hand, one of the authors, explained in an interview with Publishers’ Weekly that her inspiration stemmed from a desire to give Lady Jane Grey a different ending.



Hand described Jane as a “strong-willed, bookish teenage girl” who, despite her intelligence and determination, faced an unfortunate fate due to her brief tenure as queen. “I always loved studying Jane Grey’s story in history except for the ending. So, I thought, “Hey, I’m a writer. I can give her a different ending,’” she told the outlet.
