Prime Video will try to replicate the success of the romantic drama "My Fault" with a remake set in London. Here's everything to know about the film.

Prime Video is competing with Netflix for the crown of being the services with the best young adult/romance stories. After creating hits such as “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” “Maxton Hall” and more, they will now start a franchise based on the Spanish romantic drama “My Fault,” which was also one of the most-streamed movies on the platform.

“My Fault,” directed by Domingo González, stars Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara, and it follows the forbidden romance between Nick and Noah. The story is based on the first novel of the trilogy “Culpables” by Mercedes Ron.

After “My Fault” became the most-watched title on Prime Video of 2023, the streamer announced that they are also producing two sequels to adapt the whole trilogy. The second installment, “Your Fault,” will arrive on the service in December 2024. However, that’s not all, as they are also releasing another version of the first film “My Fault: London.” Here’s what to know.

‘My Fault: London’: What is the film about?

The movie will also adapt the first book of Mercedes Ron’s trilogy, a year after it was adapted in Spain. This time it will be based in London,with filming recently wrapped in the UK, according to the press release. The official logline reads:

The pic begins with Noah’s mother, Ella, falling in love with the very wealthy William, and the two move from America to London to live with William and his son Nick. Upon arrival, the 18-year-old Noah meets bad boy Nick, and there is an immediate attraction between the two. Noah spends the summer adjusting to her new life, making new friends from Nick’s various circles, and navigating a complicated relationship with him while they fight to keep the attraction at bay. But unbeknownst to Noah, her estranged father has been released from prison and starts tracking her every move.

Who is in the cast of ‘My Fault: London’?

The romantic drama will star up-and-comers Asha Banks (The Magic Flute) and Matthew Broome (The Buccaneers) as Noah and Nick. Cast also includes Eve Macklin (Brooklyn) as Ella, Ray Fearon (Barbie) as William, Enva Lewis (How to Have Sex) as Jenna, Jason Flemyng (Black Dog) as Travis, Kerim Hassan (Champion) as Lion, Sam Buchanan (Back to Black) as Ronnie, Amelia Kenworthy (Messenger) as Anna and Harry Gilby (Tolkien) as Dan.

Who is behind ‘My Fault’?

Dani Girdwood and Charlotte Fassler will direct the film from a script by Melissa Osborne (Change). The UK Original Movie is produced by Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg from 42, with Kari Hatfield serving as EP alongside Pokeepsie Films’ Alex de la Iglesia, Carolina Bang and Domingo González.
