Prime Video has just released its series in the trending historical romance genre, but with a unique twist of fantasy. “My Lady Jane” is the flagship show for the streamer in June, and it could remain a top pick for a long time.

This title is an adaptation of the New York Times best-seller of the same name, written by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, and Jodi Meadows, originally published in 2016. It centers around Lady Jane Grey, her husband Lord Guildford Dudley, and the infamous relationship that carved their names in history. However, this is not a tragedy. Quite the opposite, in fact, which has garnered the production both widespread love and criticism.

The last episode of the first season saw Jane and Guildford escape death in a very odd and unexpected way, leaving fans eager to see what happens next. When will we see the continuation of their story?

All on the release date for the second season of ‘My Lady Jane’

Predicting when the next season of “My Lady Jane” will be released can be tricky. Unlike Netflix, which follows a more consistent schedule, Prime Video often takes between one and three years to continue its shows.

For example, “The Boys,” the #1 series of the streamer, had its first two seasons released a year apart, but the third and fourth seasons took two years each to come out. Despite some fans’ complaints, it seems the company prioritizes quality over speed.

However, this could be a result of the entertainment giant focusing heavily on its romance shows. For instance, “Maxton Hall” began filming shortly after its release and has already confirmed a second season for 2025.

It is highly probable that “My Lady Jane” will follow a similar path, aiming to compete with hit titles like “Bridgerton.” According to metrics from sites like Flix Patrol, “My Lady Jane” is already gaining that kind of strong viewership.

Additionally, the leads, Edward Bluemel and Emily Bader, have few upcoming projects, suggesting they could start filming soon. With this in mind, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to expect the second season to be released in mid to late 2025.
