After being behind the phenomenon of “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” Prime Video is set to release another teen series that seems to check all the boxes to become a huge success on the platform: “Maxton Hall,” also based on a popular bestselling novel.

The series is an adaptation of “Save Me” by Mona Kasten, and it’s set in a prestigious yet enigmatic private school named Maxton Hall. It follows the relationship between Ruby Bell, a scholarship student from a humble background, and James Beaufort, a wealthy and troublemaker heir.

The first trailer offers a peek into their dynamic, which seems to be a solid case of “opposites attract.” As well as following the classic trope of some of our favorite enemies-to-lovers movies and plots. Others have described it as Gossip Girl meets Elite but in German.

When is the ‘Maxton Hall’ coming out?

All six episodes will premiere on Prime Video on May 9, 2024, and will be available for streaming in over 240 countries and territories. Viewers can opt for the original German with English subtitles or choose the English dubbed version.

What is the plot of ‘Maxton Hall’?
