<a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a> has updated its Top 10 worldwide again, and this week there are two movies with the same name that have become a trend, they are “Inheritance“, a Polish production that shares the title with Lily Collins’ drama.



The crime <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/comedy">comedy</a> has been directed by Sylwester Jakimow, known for being responsible for “Jakos to bedzie”, and it has a screenplay written by Lukasz Sychowicz (Fighter and The Office PL).



Many have compared the new foreign trend on the platform to <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix/netflixs-knives-out-3-with-daniel-craig-when-will-wake-up-dead-man-be-released">Knives Out</a>, as there is an inheritance involved in the story, which blends comedy, action, drama and of course, a lot of mystery.

“Inheritance“, the new crime comedy on Netflix also known as “Spadek”, has managed to secure a good spot within the streaming giant’s Top 10 in a matter of days. It has become the third most-viewed <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a> in only three days.

It follows divorced for two decades, L.A. gallerist Georgia (Roberts) and architect David (Clooney) who prefer to keep their interactions minimal, focusing only on the one good thing from their union: their daughter, Lily (Kaitlyn Dever).



Lily is a bright and sweet recent law school graduate who heads to Indonesia with her best friend (Billie Lourd) for a post-grad adventure. Just 37 days later, Lily falls in love, gets engaged to a local Balinese man (Maxime Bouttier), and is ready to abandon her career plans to become a seaweed farmer’s wife.

Directed by Nick August-Perna, the film explores a controversial relationship between a white, able-bodied professor and a nonverbal Black man with cerebral palsy. And, if you’ve already watched it, you might have doubts about what happens with Anna Stubblefield in real life.



Stubblefield was an ethics professor at Rutgers University-Newark, and she first met Derrick Johnson, who had cerebral palsy in 2009. They met through Derrick’s brother, John Johnson, who was one of her students. Stubblefield, then 41, offered her help with Derrick, then 30, with his communication skills.



With her assistance, Derrick learned how to use a keyboard to communicate. However, she then started an intimate relationship with him, which he could not fully consent to. Also, Derrick’s mother argued that his son could only use the keyboard with her help, manipulating him. In the documentary it is said that Subblefield was sentenced in 2015, but it doesn’t explain much more than that. Here’s what to know about her case.



<h2>Anna Stubblefield’s sentence: How much time did she serve in prison?</h2>



The jury found Stubblefield guilty of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and sentenced her to 12 years in prison, but she eventually served less time. Before the sentencing, John Johnson delivered an emotional letter detailing the personal impact of Anna’s actions. An excerpt from his letter reads:



“I don’t think Anna understood the depth of pain she caused my family. She tried to lay claim to him and rename him. She tried to supplant Derrick’s life, a life steeped in the history and culture of his God-fearing, Southern-rooted African American family,” he expressed.

Stubblefield served only two years of her 12-year sentence due to a legal technicality. A panel of three judges overturned her conviction, stating that excluding facilitated communication as a defense violated her rights. Specifically, that the judge should have allowed testimony by Stubblefield “expert” witness regarding facilitated communication.



After that, plead guilty for intentionally touching the victim’s “intimate parts for the purposes of mutual sexual gratification” and that she “should have known that the victim had been determined to be ‘mentally defective’ to the point of being incapable of providing consent.”

“Dracula Untold,” written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, presents Vlad as a heroic figure initially, ruling over Transylvania with justice and love for his family. However, his peaceful reign is threatened by the demands of Mehmed II, who seeks to conscript 1,000 boys, including Vlad’s son, into his army. Desperate to protect his people and family, Vlad seeks out the Master Vampire in the Broken Tooth Mountain, who grants him the power to defeat his enemies but curses him with an insatiable thirst for human blood.

As Vlad grapples with his new abilities, he must balance his humanity with his emerging monstrous nature. The film portrays his internal struggle and the ultimate sacrifice he makes to save his people, even if it means becoming a creature of legend and fear. Evans delivers a compelling performance, showcasing the character’s transformation from a noble ruler to a feared creature. 



The film was produced by Michael De Luca and distributed by Universal Pictures, and it was supposed to be the starting point of a new monster’s universe but it never materialized. Especially due to the poor reception among critics, which gave it mixed reviews. While some praised the film’s visual effects, action sequences, and Evans’ performance, others criticized it for its predictable plot and lack of depth in character development.

In the film, we follow how Billott started his long-time legal battle against DuPont, the company mostly known for producing the popular non-stick Teflon pans. One thing about the movie that critics have admired the most is the fact that it doesn’t embellish the true story in the dramatization, sticking mostly to the facts.



And, in words of Ruffalo, the facts are that the film follows “one of the greatest cover-ups in American history, and it affects everyone in the world now, and nobody knows about it,” he told ABC news back in 2019. “PFOA, it’s pretty much everywhere. They first found it in eagle eggs and that’s what kind of raised the alarm in the first place, but they found it everywhere. It’s in polar bears, it’s in 99% of all living creatures on the planet,” he explained.



So, if you’re looking for a daunting legal drama, ‘Dark Waters’ might be the perfect watch as, sadly, it was kind of overlooked at the time of its release. It’s not only a film about a specific case, but about a whole system that still puts us, all of us, in danger.

Season 3 of <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/bridgerton">Bridgerton</a> has finally come to an end with an epic finale that left many questions open, such as what <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix/bridgerton-who-will-francesca-marry-in-the-series-book-spoilers">will happen next to Francesca</a>, Benedict, Eloise and more… Including Anthony and Kate, played by Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley. Will they come back for the next season of the period drama?



The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a> series has a unique format in which each season follows a different Bridgerton sibling’s love story, which is the same format of the novels by Julia Quinn (which the show is based on). However, this also has been somewhat of a problem for the series, as fans want to keep watching more of its characters, even after their “happy ever after.”

After the first season, Regé-Jean Page didn’t come back as the Duke, while Phoebe Dynevor, who played Daphne, only returned for Season 2. Meanwhile, <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/jonathan-bailey">Bailey</a> and Ashley both reprised their roles in Season 3 to show fans a happy, united side of Kate and Anthony. But (spoilers!) their characters left for India before the finale, raising questions about their return for Season 4. Here’s what the actors and showrunner have said.



<h2>Simone Ashley says she and Jonathan Bailey want to come back for Season 4</h2>



During a press meeting at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival on Saturday, June 15, Ashley told reporters, “I really hope so.” She added that both her and Bailey “adore” their characters, as well as “their relationship and what they mean for the show,” saying that they both will “do all we can with our schedules to make it work so that we can, hopefully.”

Meanwhile, Bailey hasn’t confirmed if he will return to Season 4, but he has expressed his desire to keep coming back to Bridgerton. “I look forward to supporting the rest of the family and the stories that go forward because if there is one thing I know about the beloved world is that you want to see them through and people invest their love and their time, and it means so much to so many people. So, yeah, me and Tony (Anthony) will be together for a while,” he told BAFTA.



However, it’s true that both of them have been busy. Ashley has two upcoming movies: the rom-com “Picture This” and “This Tempting Madness,” a psychological thriller. Meanwhile, Bailey will appear in the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/wicked-everything-to-know-about-the-upcoming-musical-with-ariana-grande-20240202-SPEN-4162.html">highly anticipated film adaptation of “Wicked”</a> this November as Fieyro, and he is expected to be nominated for an Emmy for his role in “Fellow Travelers.” He filmed the latter alongside Season 3 of Bridgerton, saying that it was “wild,” traveling from London to Canada to be able to do so.



<h2>Showrunner Jess Brownell says that she also hopes for a Kanthony return</h2>



In that same spirit, Bridgerton’s showrunner Jess Brownell told Variety that she “absolutely” hopes to see more of Kate and Anthony, but “it’ll be dependent on a lot of factors. It’ll be dependent on how much story the main couples take up, and whether there is story room. It will be dependent on whether the actors are available.”

She added that the team tries to be “very respectful of our actors in terms of letting them go off and do other things,” but that “works perfectly” for the series, “because of the nature of the show shifting focus.”
