Adam Brody and Kristen Bell star as Noah Roklov and Joanne in Netflix‘s latest gem: “Nobody Wants This“, which just debuted a few days ago and has already captivated fans of romance, tension and “impossible” love.

The new romantic comedy, created by Erin Foster, features a total of 10 episodes in its first season and portrays the unexpected relationship between a cheeky rabbi and a loud, irritable, agnostic podcaster who focuses on sex and dating.

The story was written by the creator herself and is inspired by her own experience of falling in love with a Jewish man while being a shiksa (a non-Jewish woman). Here’s everything we know so far about the show’s future…

Will Nobody Wants This have a second season?

Yes! “Nobody Wants This” has been renewed for a second season on Netflix. The news came shortly after the series premiered on September 26, 2024, where it quickly gained popularity.

For the upcoming season, there will be some changes behind the scenes: Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, known for their work on Girls, will join creator Erin Foster as co-showrunners and executive producers.

Foster, whose experiences inspired the show, will continue to be involved as an executive producer. Although a premiere date for the second season has not yet been established, it is expected to air sometime in 2025.

The story will likely continue from the significant cliffhanger at the end of the first batch of episodes, where the main characters, Joanne and Noah, faced crucial decisions about their future together.

The show has now become the third most-watched series on the platform worldwide, only surpassed by Deceitful Love and “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story”, which has faced considerable criticism since its release.
