Netflix subscribers are in for a treat as the streaming giant unveils its latest romantic comedy, “The Mother of the Bride.” Set to premiere on May 9, 2024, this heartwarming film promises to deliver a delightful mix of love, laughter, and family drama.
At the heart of “The Mother of the Bride” is the dynamic duo of Lana and Emma, portrayed by seasoned actress Brooke Shields and fan-favorite Miranda Cosgrove, respectively. Shields, known for her roles in classics like “The Blue Lagoon” and “Suddenly Susan,” takes on the role of Lana, while Cosgrove, of “School of Rock” and “iCarly” fame, plays her daughter, Emma.

The rest of the cast includes Rachael Harris, Sean Teale, Michael McDonald, Wilson Cruz, Tasneem Roc, and Dalip Sondhi. Filming actually took place in Phuket, Thailand in 2023. So, apart from an entertaining storyline, you can expect beautiful landscapes.
