After the first season of Supacell arrived on Netflix, viewers and science fiction fans have been demanding the renewal of the series and new episodes, which would again be a Rapman (Blue Story) creation.

Tosin Cole has been chosen as the protagonist, but he’s not the only talented actor in the cast; quite the opposite. Josh Tedeku and Nadine Mills are some of those who have accompanied him in very important roles.

Many have been truly enchanted by the supernatural narrative, especially because it’s an original approach that, despite dealing with superheroes, does so in a way that surpasses the classics.

Will Supacell have a second season on Netflix?

After an incredible first season and a large number of views garnered, Supacell could have a great future in Netflix’s catalog, as many viewers are demanding new episodes… and quite imminently.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether the actors will return to portray the characters in a second installment, everything indicates that the series will have a future, as the streaming giant tends to listen to its users.

Rapman, creator of the supernatural drama, spoke before the premiere and mentioned that he had several ideas for a second season. During an interview, he did not hold back his hopes and stated:

At the beginning of the show, I always tell everyone that Season 1 of Supacell for me is like Batman Begins. It’s just starting. We have to see where it goes next to see who these people really are“.

When might the second season of Supacell arrive?

Although as of June 29th Supacell has not been renewed by Netflix, a possible second season could arrive in the catalog by late 2024 or sometime in 2025, but this has not been confirmed.

The first season has left an open ending to continue exploring the story, and Rapman confessed he’s not really thinking about a future installment, but rather, “I just want people to see it through to the end“. Additionally, he added:

And I want people to see what they think about all the twists and turns and how they felt afterward. I didn’t work hard to get people halfway through the show and then turn around to see something else. Hopefully, the world receives it well“.
