Code 8 was not only a worldwide success after its release in 2019, but Netflix has also decided to produce the sequel this year, which has now become the most-watched film on the platform globally and in the United States, just one day after its premiere.

The Amell cousins, Stephen (Arrow and Heels) and Robbie (The Tomorrow People), are the ones starring in the science fiction thriller titled “Code 8 Part II“. It was directed by Jeff Chan, based on a script he co-wrote with Sherren Lee and Chris Pare.

This time, the story follows a girl fighting for justice for her brother, who was killed by corrupt police officers. With the help of a former convict and her ex-partner, they confront a highly respected and protected police sergeant who doesn’t want to be exposed.

The Amell cousins have once again teamed up to bring the sequel to the action hit that gained immense popularity in 2019. Robbie takes on the role of Connor, while Stephen portrays Garrett.

The first movie, Code 8 (which is based on a short film of the same name created by Chan and Pare in 2016), was funded through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, where it garnered significant support from fans interested in the project.

However, this time, it was produced by Netflix as an original title for the streaming service. The cast was not only comprised of the two main stars, but the list of talents is quite extensive. Here, check out some of the figures present:

However, everything changes when he decides to help Pav, a 14-year-old girl seeking to escape from a group of corrupt agents led by Sergeant King. Chaos escalates too quickly, and the situation spirals out of control.

The new police technology used by the latter is highly advanced, so the protagonist must turn to his former companion and his gang for support. But can he really trust the man responsible for his time in prison?
