Netflix has decided to change the format in which it incorporates episodes of the popular romantic series Bridgerton into its catalog, dividing the third season into two batches that are released a month apart.
This time, the story focuses on the growing romantic bond between Colin Bridgerton, one of the older brothers in the aristocratic family, and Penelope Featherington, who is Lady Whistledown and the best friend of his sister.
Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton are the protagonists of the new installment, which is based on Julia Quinn‘s novels. Despite being the leaders, they are not the only stars returning; the list is quite long.
Part II of Bridgerton Season 3 arrives in June on Netflix
The first batch of episodes from the third season of Bridgertonis now available on Netflix as of this morning. According to the platform, the second part will be added to the catalog on June 13.
The series consists of a total of eight episodes, divided into four and four. Economic Times reported that the new release will be incorporated on the aforementioned Thursday of next month at 3:00 AM EST.
Jess Brownell, who took on the role of showrunner for Season 3, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the new episodes and referenced the big secret looming between Penelope and Colin. There, she said:
“It certainly becomes harder to keep a secret as soon as one person knows it, and now Eloise knows”, alluding to the fact that the youngest of the Featheringtons is Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews).
She then added, “I think there’s also a part of Penelope, who in her journey toward stepping into the light, wants Colin to know her full self. And I think she knows that until he knows she’s Whistledown, she can never be fully seen by him“.
