Kevin Hart’s “Lift” remains as the most-watched movie on Netflix globally and in the US. However, a psychological drama starring Jude Law, “The Nest,” has arrived on the platform and has already entered the Top 10 in the US, according to FlixPatrol.

“The Nest” (2020) was written, directed and produced by Sean Durkin, known for “Martha Marcy May Marlene” (2011). He is also the director of “The Iron Claw” (2023), A24’s wrestling drama starring Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White.

The story and tone has been compared with the 1960s’ marriage melodramas and, judging from the strong response and online discourse around Todd Haynes’ “May December” (also available on Netflix) this one could also be the object of some interesting analysis.

The movie is praised for the script, the tension of the story, the themes and, mostly, for the performances of Law and Coon. Of course, Durkin’s direction is also widely praised. So, don’t miss this drama you can find on Netflix.
