According to the metrics-focused website, the title has managed to surpass multiple original productions on the platform, including Code 8 Part II with cousins Stephen and Robbie Amell, and Spaceman with Adam Sandler

The story revolves around Elodie, a obedient damsel who agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to discover that the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to pay off an ancient debt.

Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wit and will to survive. However, it’s not as easy as it seems, as chaos and the fire within her soul begin to emerge rapidly.

Millie Bobby Brown spoke about Damsel and her work as Elodie

“I think the fact that you’re reading it, and I was like, ‘I’m reading a fairy tale – she’s getting married, and she’s finding a prince, and it’s such a good story. And I love this.’ And oh, wait, there’s still another, you know, 100 pages.

And you’re just like, ‘Oh, what else is meant to happen?’ And I think that’s probably like the first 20 pages of it being like, oh, this sounds like the ending of the movie. And it’s actually just beginning”.

As the interview with Britany Murphy progressed, the 20-year-old young star confessed that she put a lot of herself into filming certain scenes of the fantasy and dragon drama. She revealed that it was challenging for her and said:

“Really difficult. Um, you know, I had a lot of physical therapy. And I had to basically learn how to navigate, my body with the set and with the dragon and, and with the costume. I mean, like, I’ve just never had to do stunts quite like I did in this movie. And things like a corset and, you know, a skirt cage.

I’ve never worked with anything more horrific in my whole life. [laughs] You know, it just has a mind of its own. If you move that way, it somehow moves that way. I don’t know how it does. But it does. And you’re running with it. And it’s really difficult. So I was really challenged in this movie, for sure”.
