June Squibb is ready to star in a new action-revenge <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a>, which has been written and directed by Josh Margolin. The actress will bring Thelma to life, a grandmother who is deceived by a phone scammer.



The cast will not only be led by the star, who is also known for other popular titles, but will also feature actors such as Fred Hechinger (The Pale Blue Eye), Richard Roundtree (Speed Racer) and Clark Gregg (The Avengers).

Warner Bros. has confirmed that they’re working on a sequel of “Practical Magic,” which starred Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock as two witch sisters dealing with a familiar curse. While it wasn’t well received at the time of its release in 1998, the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a> is now considered a cult classic and a big part of that it’s the soundtrack.



Some of the reasons for the film’s bad reception at the time came to do with its tonal shifts, as it blends comedy, drama, romance and horror. “Practical Magic” is coming back with a legacy sequel, 26 years after the release of the original film. Warner Bros. announced that they’re working on the film, with <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/practical-magic-2-will-sandra-bullock-and-nicole-kidman-return-as-the-owens-sisters">Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman in talks to return</a>, per Variety.



In the first <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a>, Bullock and Kidman starred as the Owens sisters, two witches that have to find a way to bring back to life Kidman’s abusive ex-boyfriend (Goran Višnjić) after Bullock unintentionally drugs and kills him.



The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/fantasy">fantasy</a> film was directed by Griffin Dunne, and it was an adaptation of the 1995 novel of the same name by Alice Hoffman. Academy Award winner Bullock played Sally, a witch who becomes widowed after the Owens curse kills her husband. Meanwhile, the young version of Sally was played by a 12-year-old Camilla Belle, who is now 37 years old. Bullock is also set to produce the sequel.

Meanwhile, Kidman played Gillian Owens, the most free-spirited of the two sisters, and loves magic. However, she becomes the victim of an abusive relationship. “I Used To Be Funny” was written and directed by Ally Pankiw, in her directorial debut. Is this good news? More than you could imagine. Not only is Stanton a great choice to helm the future of the Disney franchise, but he is also the best option. Apart from being part of the golden era of the corporation, Stanton wrote the screenplays for the first two movies.



You might be concerned that he wasn’t the original director of the Woody and Buzz world, but his filmography speaks for itself. Stanton brought us “A Bug’s Life,” “Finding Nemo,” and “Wall-E.” With his influence from Disney’s best years, we can definitely trust him.



However, it’s worth noting that even if Stanton wants to bring back those 2000s influences, producers have stated that this fifth installment will be absolutely surprising, featuring a plot that can’t be predicted even by the most dedicated fan. As if his double existence wasn’t dangerous enough, Gary is thrust into the role of fake hitman, tasked with gathering incriminating statements from people looking to hire him for murder. Initially reluctant, he surprisingly grows to enjoy this unusual assignment, perhaps a bit too much.



Linklater’s direction is exquisite, and <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/Glen-Powell">Glen Powell</a> showcases his full range of talent like he never did before.
