Challengers” is the new movie that has shaken the world, not only because it stars three of the most talented actors of the new generation, but also due to its dramatic and even spicy plot.

The project, directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Justin Kuritzkes, promises to be full of romance and sports. The wait has finally ended and it’s now available in all cinemas across the country.

As expected, it has already grossed $1.9 million in the national box office. In addition to the performances by Zendaya, Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor, the soundtrack has helped captivate audiences.

Challengers Official Soundtrack | Complete Score

The soundtracks of films of this style, which blend romance with drama, are often a key factor in developing the emotion that actors bring to the scenes, and this time was no different.

Inspired by techno, the songs were composed by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, along with his frequent collaborator Atticus Ross. Both have previously worked together on “The Social Network” and “Bones & All”.

During an interview, they discussed the ideas given by the Italian director, and according to NME, Reznor confessed, “Luca said, ‘What if all the music was techno, pulsating, like a heartbeat that makes the movie fun?'”.

The question left them thinking, and Ross added, “It’s about emotion, and at the same time, there is order and consideration in the score”. Here, check out the complete soundtrack of the new movie:

Challengers Remixed Soundtrack | All the songs

The German DJ Boys Noize has also participated in the soundtrack but with his own version, where he mixes the existing score with new pieces, resulting in a total duration of almost half an hour.

The producer was personally selected by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross with the aim to “deconstruct and subsequently reimagine” the compositions they had already created, making the nine tracks into one cohesive piece.

According to NME, the DJ took some time to talk about the project and everything it entailed, as well as how he felt about being part of such a big and anticipated production like Challengers. He said:

“It’s been a fun challenge to turn this into a seamless experience and take it even further by redesigning the tracks, creating new elements, and changing certain parts, especially in ‘Compress/Repress,’ which becomes super epic towards the end”.
