Starve Acre with Matt Smith: When will the folk horror film be released?

After spending some time on television, Matt Smith and Morfydd Clark joined forces to bring Starve Acre, a folk horror film, which will soon arrive in the US and UK. Here, check out the official release date.

Starve Acre is the new horror film starring Matt Smith (House of the Dragon) and Morfydd Clark (LOTR: The Rings of Power), which will finally be available in theaters very soon. With its unique style, the story will captivate audiences.

The stars bring to life Richard and Claire, a couple of farmers whose idyllic life is disrupted when their son begins to behave strangely. Erin Richards, Sean Gilder and Robert Emms are some of the actors who accompany them.

The folk-style thriller has been directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Andrew Michael Hurley, which has been one of his many best-sellers.

When is Starve Acre released in theaters?

Despite “Starve Acre” having its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in 2023, it has not yet been available to audiences. The movie will be released in American theaters on July 26 and in the UK on September 6.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the review aggregator website, it has managed to achieve 100% from 7 critics so far, which means that all their opinions have been positive, generating high expectations.
