The film has grossed $858.4 million in the U.S. and Canada, edging past the $858.3 million domestic total for “Avengers: Endgame.” According to Deadline, the result makes “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” the second-highest-grossing Marvel movie ever at the domestic box office.
‘Spider Man: Brand New Day’ Continues Its Record-Breaking Run
The achievement comes as the franchise takes Peter Parker in a more self-contained direction. Set four years after the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” the film finds Parker living almost entirely through his identity as Spider-Man while struggling with the consequences of neglecting his life outside the suit.

That approach also brings the character closer to his traditional street-level roots. Rather than another world-ending threat, Parker is primarily focused on protecting New York City, while his increasingly demanding life as Spider-Man pushes his powers in new directions.
“Brand New Day” had already made history with its $932 million worldwide opening weekend, the second-biggest ever behind “Avengers: Endgame.” Its latest domestic milestone adds another record to an unusually strong theatrical run for the MCU’s current “Spider-Man” era.
The domestic record may not stand for long, however. “Avengers: Doomsday” is positioned to become the next major Marvel box office contender, with its ensemble of returning MCU stars and legacy characters giving it the potential to challenge the heights reached by “Brand New Day,” “Avengers: Endgame” and other recent franchise blockbusters.
