Following an intimate courthouse ceremony at London’s Old Marylebone Town Hall in May and a lavish, three-day celebration in Sicily, the Grammy winner reflected on how two key pieces of advice kept their big day entirely stress-free.

The Secrets to a Stress-Free Wedding Day

When preparing for their nuptials, the newlyweds were inundated with well-wishes and suggestions from friends and family. However, two specific rules of thumb stood out and ultimately shaped their entire experience:

“Our wedding day was such a beautiful celebration. People gave us lots of advice, but there were two suggestions that we really took on board,” Lipa shared. “One was to show up at our wedding like we were guests ourselves, which meant we had the best time and we weren’t stressed at all. The other was for Callum and me to keep checking in with each other so we didn’t lose each other in the crowd. As a result, we spent loads of time together and created so many amazing memories.”

A Changing Perspective on Love and Songwriting

Beyond the wedding details, Lipa spoke candidly about how her romantic journey with Turner has evolved her perspective on relationships—and influenced her artistic approach. Having built her early career on anthemic heartbreak hits, the singer noted a shift toward exploring the depth of lasting partnership.

“[Writing] about having a broken heart is very common,” Lipa explained. “When I was younger, I found much more inspiration in the search for and the longing for [true love] because heartbreak is such a loud emotion. But now I want to discover what happens after you find love. I’m interested in the everyday complexities of a relationship, in its quieter moments, in the small things.”

The pair, who first began dating in January 2024 before confirming their engagement in mid-2025, have frequently praised each other’s work ethic and mutual support.

Turner recently described their wedding as the “most beautiful day” of his life, proving that the duo’s guest-first mindset created a celebration both will cherish forever.
