“Small Things Like These” is an upcoming movie starring Cillian Murphy, based on the bestselling novel of the same name written by Irish author Claire Keegan, which depicts a dark moment in Ireland’s history.
The dramatic plot is set in a small Irish town during Christmas 1985 and follows Bill Furlong, a humble coal merchant leading a quiet life but burdened with responsibilities.
The production began in 2023 and is directed by filmmaker Tim Mielants, known for his previous work with the Oscar-winning actor from Oppenheimer in “Peaky Blinders“. The title will hit the big screen on November 1st.
