Marvel Shocker: ‘Avengers Doomsday’ Release Date Delayed to December 2026

Originally slated as Marvel’s next major summer blockbuster and the climactic event of the Multiverse Saga, the highly anticipated sequel will now see the Mightiest Heroes make their return during the winter season instead.

The decision stems from a combination of factors: a packed 2026 release calendar and a desire to give the post-production team more time to deliver what’s expected to be Marvel’s most visually ambitious project yet.

The cast includes Robert Downey Jr., who is set to portray the iconic villain Victor von Doom, alongside returning favorites like Chris Hemsworth and Paul Rudd, as well as newcomers such as Vanessa Kirby and Pedro Pascal.

It’s a pivotal movie as it marks the beginning of Phase Six of the MCU and will lead directly into the sixth Avengers film, Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled for December, 2027.
