Steven O’Dell, an executive at Sony Pictures, confirmed the news during a presentation at the 2024 CineEurope fair. Despite being in development, the drama still doesn’t have an official release date.
Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg will return
That’s right, Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg will return to portray Nathan Drake and Victor Sullivan, who were the protagonists of the first adaptation that took place in 2022. So far, they are the only cast members confirmed.
After two years since its theatrical release, it was confirmed that both stars have joined the project again, and it’s likely that they will also serve as producers, but this has not yet been announced.
Will the characters have any changes in the sequel?
There won’t be too many changes in the main characters, but Mark Wahlberg confessed that Victor Sullivan will be more faithful to the video games. He will have a charismatic personality and a great sense of humor once again.
The actor, who announced that he will retire from the industry in a few years, confessed, “I’ve heard many different ideas. I know someone has written a script, and they’re still working on it”.
