The update surfaced through Schofield’s Instagram account, where he shared a photo of a message signed by Garland alongside producers Allon Reich, Matthew Penry-Davey, Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Charlie Reed. The note thanked everyone involved for helping bring the ambitious title to completion.

“Dear cast and crew, thank you for your incredibly hard work on Elden Ring. Your skill, dedication, and all-round professionalism were integral in bringing this unique project to life. We wish you a well-earned rest. Thank you and very best wishes, Alex, Allon, Matthew, Peter, Andrew and Charlie,” the message read.
Schofield also reflected on the experience in the post’s caption, calling it a “Dream job to end all dream jobs” after “Six solid months of blood, sweat and tears making the coolest stuff ever, working alongside the best of the best.” He added that he “Can’t share anything else for a very long time, but I couldn’t be more proud of what we did.” The post was later deleted, and Schofield’s profile was reportedly made private shortly afterward.
The production milestone brings A24’s adaptation one step closer to theaters. Written and directed by Garland, the picture features Kit Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Ben Whishaw, Nick Offerman, Tom Burke, Havana Rose Liu, Sonoya Mizuno, Emma Laird, Peter Serafinowicz, Jonathan Pryce, Ruby Cruz, John Hodgkinson, and Jefferson Hall. Filming began in April across the United Kingdom, with locations including Scotland and North Wales before moving to Iceland.
The movie adapts FromSoftware’s 2022 hit video game, which was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki with worldbuilding created by George R. R. Martin. Set in the Lands Between, the story follows a Tarnished warrior seeking to restore the shattered Elden Ring and claim the title of Elden Lord.
Since its release, the game has become one of the medium’s defining modern productions, selling more than 30 million copies worldwide and earning widespread acclaim, including numerous Game of the Year honors.
