“A Quiet Place” stands out as one of the most influential horror franchises of the past decade, with its latest installment further solidifying that status. Just a week after its release, the film has already grossed $114.1 million on a $67 million budget.
This time, the story doesn’t revolve around the Abbott family but introduces entirely new protagonists: Lupita Nyong’o as Samira, a terminal cancer patient, and Joseph Quinn as Eric, a law student who chooses to accompany her amidst the apocalypse.
They are not alone in their struggle. Samira’s constant companion is a cat named Frodo, who has captured hearts since the movie’s promotional posters. Many fans are understandably anxious about Frodo’s fate, worried about the possibility of seeing him meet his end at the hands of the invading aliens in New York. Therefore, they want to learn his destiny beforehand to determine whether they will watch the picture or not.
What happens to Frodo in ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’?
If you’re sensitive to animals in danger, “A Quiet Place: Day One” may not be the movie for you. From the aliens’ arrival on Earth, Frodo is constantly at risk—whether it’s the creatures sensing him or stampedes of people separating him from his owner, Samira.
Things don’t improve when Eric enters the picture. He not only fails to properly care for Frodo but the cat also puts the law student in danger multiple times.
However, if you were worried about Frodo’s fate, rest assured: he does not die at the hands of the Death Angels or any other cause. John Krasinski and his team spared animal lovers the heartache by letting the feline survive.
Yet, there’s a twist. As a spinoff and prequel to “A Quiet Place 2,” “Day One” sets up events where those who escape New York in a boat face the devastating alien attacks seen in Emily Blunt‘s last installment.
This raises the likelihood that Frodo faced a grim fate in “A Quiet Place 2”, the direct continuation of the recently released film. The public will have to wait for the next installment to learn the animal’s current status.
