“Challengers” is the new romantic drama starring Zendaya (Euphoria, The Greatest Showman and Spider-Man) that has captivated movie fans, especially those who have been following the star since her Disney days.
Directed by Luca Guadagnino (Suspiria) and written by Justin Kuritzkes (Queer), the film debuted with $6.2 million on its opening day, solidifying itself as one of the best cinema premieres of the year.
Mike Faist (West Side Story) and Josh O’Connor (The Crown) co-star alongside the actress in this thrilling sports journey. Soon, it will have its major streaming debut, finding a home on one of the most popular platforms.
When will ‘Challengers’ debut in streaming?
After several months of waiting, “Challengers” with Zendaya has finally secured a streaming release date. Without a doubt, it is one of the most anticipated titles and will arrive on Prime Video on September 19.
Amazon MGM Studios is responsible for distributing the drama, which means that after a good run in theaters, it was expected to make its big debut on Prime Video. So far, it will only be part of the catalog of that service.
The title was available on VOD starting May 17 of this year and will be available with a subscription at a later time, as the studio does not have a fixed theatrical release window, which means it usually takes some time.
The romantic sports story follows three players who met as teenagers as they compete in a tennis tournament to win the world-famous Grand Slam, reigniting old rivalries on and off the court.
